4 Dry Fire Drills
Drill 1: Stationary Draw Hands Relaxed
To build the manipulation skill of drawing the gunfrom hands relaxed at sides.
Drill 2: Table Draw
To build the manipulation skill of drawing the gun from a table or platform.
Drill 3: Stepping Reload
To build the manipulation skill of reloading the gun while stepping into another position.
Drill 4: Target Acquisitions
To build the skill of acquiring targets with the gun.
The
training
drills
are
broken
down
into
Micro
and
Macro
drills.
Each
drill
is
designed
to
work
a
specific
area
of
skill.
Micro
drills
focus
on
one
or
two
small
portions
of
a
technique.
Macro
drills
are
larger
drills
where
the
skills
are
mixed
together
to
work
on
flowing
from
one
technique
to
the
next
while
performing
all
techniques
correctly.
3 Micro Drills
Drill 5: Five Shot Warm Up
The purpose of this lesson is to verify gun/ammunition combination is shooting point of aim, point of impact, by shooting a group on a specific spot. To verify basic mechanics on the process of sight and trigger management. Once you verify the gun is shooting where we want it to, with the ammunition you are training with, analysis of other training factors is easier (i.e. you don’t blame the gun for a bad shot).

Drill 6: Moving Draw/Varied Target Area

2 Macro Drills
Drill 8: Shooting And Moving, Forward And Backward
The purpose of this drill is to learn how to correctly perform the firing cycle on the move, stabilizing the gun and calling good shots.
